Within the world of domain names, if you have an idea for one that will have broad world appeal, consider using the .com extension, which is the way to register international domain names. The .com is the standard one used to describe web sites that are engaged in international business or services, compared to domain names that are country specific, like .uk. Your domain name registry should be able to give you all the current domain extensions in use now so if you want to launch a site for residents of another country, it might be a good idea to use a domain name registry extension for just that country. I read a quip on a web cheap domain name registration web site that said people living in London are not likely to order a pizza from a .com extension, but would be more likely to from .uk extension. Makes sense to me.
You can also use international servers for your web site, as well, which allows you to open a foreign bank account and advantages of the laws concerning interest earned on that account and taxation, which may be more favorable than here in the US.
